There is no doubt that the Mother City likes to show off its many wonders, as this epic Cape Town video shows… made by Matt Spanjaard, the video features everything that makes the city one of the world’s most sought-after destinations. Dolphins, beaches, mountain, views, attractions and so much more. If you’ve ever wanted to get a comprehensive taste of Cape Town in less than 60 seconds, this video is a must-watch!
We cannot resist Cape Town travel videos. Call us biased, but we love our city more than anywhere else on the planet, and seeing it showcased in a beautifully made video is fantastic. Videos like that also help to remind us just how much the city has to offer in the way of things to see and do, too. From boat cruises to shark cage diving; cable car trips to hiking; surfing to urban strolling, the city is certainly not short of diversity when it comes to attractions and activities, that’s for sure!

Have a watch of this amazingly made video to get an instant taste of that famous Mother City magic!
Here are some of the things to see and do in Cape Town, as featured in Matt’s video…
* Boat cruises. From the V&A Waterfront, you can find a boat cruise to suit just about every mood and preference. Sunset cruises, champagne breakfast cruises, dolphin spotting cruises, whale watching cruises, marine safaris… you name it and you can probably try it. These cruises range in price and duration, too. Most can be booked from the marina, or via the Waterfront Boat Company (Shop 5, Quay 5 at the V&A Waterfront). Be sure to take your camera, binoculars, sunscreen, and a warm jacket.
* Table Mountain Cableway. The Table Mountain cable car is an absolute must-try on any visit to the city. Generally, while the cableway stays open throughout the year, it only operates when the weather is suitable clear. Overcast and rainy days are not ideal for venturing up the mountain this way, but even in the middle of winter, there are plenty of clear days to enjoy. Costs range from R130 to R240 return, with discounts for students and pensioners. The cable station is accessed from Tafelberg Road, just off Kloof Nek.
* Sea Point Promenade. That iconic light house that features briefly in the video is located at the far end of the promenade. This stretch of coast is truly magnificent, with a long promenade that runs from Mouille Point to Sea Point. It is great for walks, jogging, sunsets or simply relaxing on bench. Alongside the path, there is a stretch of grass that is popular with footballers and dog walkers. There is also an outdoor gym, public swimming pool, food stall and beach access, and even an ice cream truck. Parking can also be found on Beach Road.
