New Year’s Eve Tropical Paradise Party at HQ Restaurant

The city’s trendiest eatery famous for their simple sirloin, salad and dessert offering is having a tropical paradise party that is sure to heat things up. The entry cost include canapés, a Ciroc cocktail on your arrival and a three-course meal (there’s also a vegetarian option on offer). New Year’s Eve at the V&A Waterfront

The V&A Waterfront will be throwing their annual NYE bash, which includes fireworks, live music and street performers. Best of all, entry to the party is 100% FREE! Expect a carnival like atmosphere, complete with Zip Zap Circus performances, jugglers, bright colours, street food trucks, music and lots of fun. This is a great option for those looking for a free bash that is still a good party. Be warned however that parking will be tricky. We advise organising an Uber to get you there and back safely without having to worry about finding somewhere to park.

New Year’s Eve Concert at Kirstenbosch

Local music legend Johnny Clegg and pop rock collective Slow Jack will be taking to the Kirstenbosch outdoor stage on NYE for a magical performance under the starts. Tickets are affordable and under R400 – you can book via Webtickets.co.za or via the Kirstenbosch Ticket Office in advance. What makes this event ideal for those wanting something more laid-back is that it’s family friendly, relaxed and all about good music, good company and the beautiful surrounds of the garden. Pack some bubbly, a blanket and a picnic and you’re all set!

New Year’s Eve at Nederburg with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra

For something refined and glamorous, join the ape Town Philharmonic Orchestra at Nederburg Wine Farm for a special NYE concert. The show will be conducted by Brandon Philips, featuring Sue Pyler as MC, with performances from guest acts such as Brandon October, Melanie Scholtz and Sterling EQ. Gates will open at 17h00, with the event finishing nice and early at 21h30. This event is kid-friendly – kids between 12 and 17 pay R175 to enter while adults pay R300. Rezonance New Year’s Eve Trance Party

From 30 December 2016 to 2 January 2017, the annual Rezonance NYE Trance Party will be keeping the masses on the dance floor. This year’s venue is a small farm just outside of Robertson. Over 150 artists will be taking to the stage, ranging from psytrance, to progressive, drum n bass, techno, chill and dub step. NYE at Stardust Theatrical Dining

This NYE in Cape Town, try something different. Stardust brings musical entertainment to the dinner stage in a magical way. Originally located in Rondebosch, this popular musical dining venue has moved to Woodstock. The New Year’s dinner will include cocktails, starters, mains and dessert. Dietary requests can be accommodated and Halaal and Kosher food can be ordered on request.
