We have a couple of amazing Cape Town events this weekend to share with you. From the popular Two Oceans Marathon and an excellent music festival to an Easter brunch at one of the most popular restaurants in the Mother City, there is plenty to look forward to in Cape Town this weekend.

1 Two Oceans Marathon (April 19-20)

Taking places over the Easter weekend every year, Two Oceans Marathon is one of the most beautiful marathons in the world. It attracts more than 30,000 contestants and offers spectacular scenery along its route. You can take part in the short 2.5km and 5km runs or run the 21km half marathon. Experienced runners can test their level of fitness by participating in the 56 km ultra-marathon.

2 Nobu’s Cristal Easter Brunch (April 20)

One&Only and Nobu Restaurant are hosting a Cristal Easter brunch this weekend in Cape Town. If your idea of having a good time involves enjoying Japanese dining with a Peruvian twist, make a reservation for R1380 per person and enjoy delicacies such as Sake Roast and dark chocolate fondant with green tea ice cream and Shochu based cocktails. A glass of bubbly and DJ entertainment is included in the price, while Louis Roederer champagne will set you back R1900 or R800 per bottle.

3 Vortex Parallel Universe (April 20-22)

When we’re talking about Cape Town events this weekend, it would be a real shame not to mention the Vortex Parallel Universe Festival in Caledo. Celebrating energy, art, and music, the festival features a stellar line up including both International and local DJ’s. International guests such as Animato, Plasmotek, Joti Sidhu and Omega Flight are scheduled to perform next to local acts like Abra, DJ Absynth, Alien Natives, Dj Bernz vs. DALA, Dave Mac, Deliriant, DJ Mark, Dynamic Range, Geometric Flux, Gryphon-X, iTone, The Jester, Josh Mac, Luna, Nicci, Rubix Qube, Saai, Tune Raider, Vox Libre, Prefix. Besides enjoying music, you can swim in the river, attend different workshops, and try delicious food from street vendors.  Tickets for the festival range between R470 AND R570.

4 Easter Egg Hunt by Norval Foundation (April 20-21)

Head out to the Norval Foundation Art Gallery to attend the first Easter Egg Hunt and Egg-Decorating Workshop in a lovely sculpture garden. The event is suitable for kids 4 to 10 years and the entrance to the event costs R80 per child. Besides the Easter Egg Hunt, a colour-in competition is held throughout at the weekend at the Skotnes Restaurant.
