Street Food Festival ZA in collaboration with Cape Town’s Eat Like a Local is hosting a street food tour this Friday that will take you some of the best snack establishments in the city. The plan is to visit 8 food and drink joints within 4 hours. Besides food tasting, visitors will also have a chance to hear some interesting historical facts about Cape Town. 2 Hot Sauce Tasting Eve (September 8)

If you are into hot sauces, this tasting event in the Mother City’s South Palms Center is definitely going to be a real treat for your taste buds. The tasting will include more than 40 different hot sauces, as well as some fresh farm cheese, delectable chocolate, and salami. You will also find a variety of burgers, pizzas, and desserts on the menu. You can enroll in a Suck My Lollie’ competition and earn your hot Lollie title. As for the entertainment part of the tasting, Juan Casey will be in charge of bringing live music to the guests. Tickets at the door will set you back R100.

3 Comics Fest (September 8 – 9)

Comics Fest is one of the most awesome events in Cape Town this weekend. The festival includes a wide range of discussions, activities, and workshops and offers an opportunity for visitors to engage with some of the leading artists, comic book creators, and illustrators from South Africa. Some of the names include Danelle Malan, Stephanie Simpson, Ben Geldenhuys, and many others.

4 The All New Sammy Webber Band @ Kaleidoscope Café (September 7)

Kaleidoscope Café is hosting the All New Sammy Webber band performance and features plenty of entertainment and a delicious home cooked meal. Visitors should bring their own wine, while coffee, cakes, and soft drinks will be on sale. It is recommended to reserve your tickets for this event in advance.

5 Noble Vice: A wine and culinary festival (September 9)

Each winemaker is offering tastings of their wine selection, while chefs are creating a single menu course with authentic Cape Town flavors. To keep you entertained, a diverse line-up of local bands and musicians are scheduled to perform throughout the day. Tickets for this Woodstock event are limited to 500.
