Receive your tasting booklet that includes 10 coupons which are to be used for over 20 artisanal brandy, wines, craft beers, and gingerbread pairings. Visitors with kids will be glad to hear that there is a nice playground for the children here, as well as live music. Early bird tickets will set you back R150 per person, while visitors who decide to purchase tickets at the door will have to pay R200.

2 Made In the Cape Market (October 4-7)

Head out to Cavendish Square this weekend where the fabulous Made in the Cape Market event is taking place. This high-end market showcases the creativity of the locals and hosts numerous exhibitors such as interior decorators, silversmiths, ceramic artists, carpenters, textile artists, and other designers of varied genres. 3 Bay Harbour Market Oktoberfest (October 5-7)

Bay Harbour Market is scheduled to host its own Bay Harbour Market Oktoberfest festival from 5th to 7th of October. This is definitely going to be one of the most visited and best events in Cape Town this weekend. There will be stellar live music, as well as plenty of SA’s best craft beers and delicious food. The good news is that the entrance to the festival is free of charge and the South African rock legends, Watershed are included in the line-up. 4 Hermanus Wine And Food Festival (October 5-6)

We are happy to announce the annual Hermanus Wine and Food Festival. Nominated as one of the 10 best wine festivals in the country, this excellent festival is an ideal place to try some of the finest award-winning wines from the Overberg wine region. Expect to find everything from food trucks and micro-breweries to live music performances and about 300 premium wines available for tasting.

5 Blessing of the Fishing Fleet at V&A Waterfront (October 6-7)

Hosted by the Portuguese Cultural and Welfare Centre of Cape, the annual Blessing of the Fishing Fleet Festival for 2018 is scheduled to take place at the V&A Waterfront this Saturday and Sunday. The event kicks off with Holy Mass in the morning and is followed by the blessing of the fleet at 12 pm. There will be live entertainment throughout the day, as well as dozens of food stalls and a nice beer garden. Tickets for adults cost R30, while children under 12 and seniors can enter for R20.

6 Fitch & Leedes Gin & Tonic Festival (October 6)

Check out the Fitch & Leedes Gin & Tonic Festival where you will find salivating garnishes, artisanal foods, local music performances, and of course the best gins.
