1 MOJO Market Oyster & Bubbly Experience (August 31 – September 2)
Head out to the Mojo Market this weekend where the amazing Oyster and Bubbly Experience festival will take place. There will be lots of bubbles, plenty of oysters, and of course live music. The ticket to the festival includes a souvenir champagne glass with 5 MCC tasting coupons, a complimentary glass of MCC on arrival, and 3 large oysters. Keep in mind that the festival is taking place indoors.

2 Capegate Craft Beer and Wine Festival (August 31 – September 1)
It seems that there are many interesting events in Cape Town this weekend and the Capegate Craft Beer and Wine Festival at the Capegate Shopping Centre is one of them. This amazing festival celebrates its 8th birthday this year and hosts over 20 wineries and Western Cape based craft beer breweries. In fact, this is the first time that the festival will include local craft beer breweries. Expect to find plenty of food at the numerous food trucks, as well as great live music. At the festival, The Pebbles Project which focuses on providing help to the disadvantaged children and families in the Cape Winelands farming communities will be raising funds.

3 Made In the Cape Market (August 30 – September 2)
If you feel like shopping this weekend, make sure to check out the Made in the Cape Market which showcases the creativity of Cape Town. There will be numerous exhibitors including everyone from textile artists and silversmiths to interior decorators, carpenters, and designers of varied genres. You will have an opportunity to actually meet the makers of these crafts and hear the original stories behind their products. 4 Mark Haze – Bon Jovi Tribute & Masters of Rock (August 31 – September 1)
The amazing Mark Haze and his band will be performing this weekend in Cape Town at the Roxy Revue Bar at Grand West. His tribute to Bon Jovi and the Masters of Rock is definitely one of the must-see acts this weekend and the two-hour set offers a spectacular to Bon Jovi and some Masters of Rock such as Queen, Journey, and the Beatles. Make sure to get a ticket for at least one of his three shows this weekend in Cape Town, as this event is likely to be sold-out.

5 Western Cape Youth Music Festival (September 1)
Western Cape Youth Music Festival is definitely one of the most anticipated classical music events in Cape Town in September. Hosted by the lovely Artscape Theatre Centre, the festival will be celebrating its 47th birthday and the Cape Town Philharmonic orchestra will be joined on stage with 12 talented your musical instrumentalist of classical music and singers who went on an audition just to be able to perform together with the CPO. What’s great about this festival is that it celebrates young musical talents and their performances and doesn’t look at it as a competition.
