1 Botanical Library Autumn Show 2019 (May 24-26)
Hosted by the Cape Orchid Society, the Botanical Library Autumn Show is taking place at the Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden’s Richard Crowie Hall this weekend. From a rich orchid literature to growing guides and historical record, there is plenty to discover within the garden’s library. Visitors will also find many orchid texts on sale. The entrance costs R20 per person.

2 Kids World Craft Corner’s Treat Decorating @ Canal Walk Shopping Centre (May 25)
One of the most exciting events in Cape Town for families with children, Kids World Craft Corner Treat Decorating can be found at the Canal Walk Shopping Centre this Saturday. This fun cookie decorating workshop is all about entertainment for the little ones. Using edible paint, kids can decorate everything from dragon and unicorn to mermaid and dinosaur cookies. There will be other activities like face painting, sand art, and balloon sculpting.

3 Cape Kids Collab Market (May 25-26)
It seems there is no shortage of family-friendly events this weekend in the Mother City. Showcasing both international and local niche products for babies, kids, and adults, The Cape Kids Collab Market allows you to experience and get to know the brands before actually purchasing them. Besides food and beverages, there will be entertainment for the kids including a jumping castle, clay lay, face painting, and much more.

4 Shiraz & Charcuterie Festival (25 May)
Presented by Anthonij Rupert Wines, the annual Shiraz & Charcuterie Festival is an ideal event to unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of the Anthonij Rupert Wine Farm. The event features the best 20 wines from the Western Cape region paired with a nice selection of cheeses, meats, and other delicious foods. Visitors will have an opportunity to listen to live music and enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding valley. The entrance costs R295 per person.

5 Kirstenbosch Craft & Food Market (May 26)
Kirstenbosch Craft & Food Market is definitely one of the most exciting events in Cape Town this weekend. From live entertainment to a nice selection of food and plenty of craft beers and wines, there is plenty to look forward to at this popular craft and food market. There will be activities for the kids you can even bring your dog along.
