1 Zip Zap Circus: Journey Beyond (August 17-19)
The Journey Beyond is a new show presented by Zip Zap. They had a successful collaboration with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra last year and this August visitors will have an opportunity to see stunning acts alongside classical entertainment which will be performed by the CPO. 2 The Grape Escape Wine Festival by Wine Concepts (August 17)
There are many great events in Cape Town this weekend and Wine Concepts are hosting their first Grape Escape Wine Festival this Friday at the Vineyard Hotel. A fine selection of wines including Gamay Noir, Mourvedre, Roussanne, Viognier, Grenache Blanc, Syrah, Carignan is going to be offered to visitors. There will be 40 of the country’s top producers at the festival presenting their best offerings. Besides wine, there will be snacks available throughout the evening. 3 The Chocolate Festival in Stellenbosch (August 18-19)
If you are craving something sugary and have a sweet tooth for premium chocolate, head out to the Anura Wine Estate in Stellenbosch this weekend and visit the fabulous Chocolate Festival. The festival features live music, chocolate movie screenings, and even a large chocolate fountain. In case you get thirsty, there are wine bars, gin bars, and craft beers bars at the festival. Ticket includes tastings and a glass and costs R150 for adults, while children under 18 can enter for free.

4 Next Generation Musical Showcase at Liberty Promenade (August 18)
One of the most anticipated events in Cape Town this weekend is the Next Generation Musical Showcase at Liberty Promenade. Teams of learners from 15 high schools and primary schools from Mitchells Plain will perform a musical piece at the Food Court’s concert stage. Besides R 60 000 in prize money, the Liberty Promenade will also hand out gift cards to the winning team’s teachers and learners. The entrance to the event is free of charge.

5 A Midsummer Night’s Dream (August 15-18)
Watch the spectacular interpretation of Shakespeare’s, A Midsummer Night’s Dream by the Rustenburg Girls’ High School and Rondebosch Boys’ High School this weekend. These two schools decided to join forces and make an unforgettable event this August. Mr. Adrian Skelly who is the Head of the Arts Faculty said how there is a reason why MSND was chosen for their 2018 show. It has a great script which is funny and easy to follow.
