1/ Arno Carstens – live at Cafe Roux (June 15)
The front man of the popular Springbok Nude Girls, Arno Carstens will be performing at the Café Roux this Friday. His acoustic rock set will include a bunch of his old tunes, as well as songs from his new ““Die Aandblom 13” album. The show starts at 7 pm and a ticket for the concert will set you back ZAR150.

2/ Food Truck Friday at Jack Black’s Brewery (June 15)
One of the most popular local breweries in Cape Town, Jack Black’s Brewery is hosting their popular Food Truck Friday event this Friday. This event is dedicated to pairing tasty food and great craft beer from the tap. The Sausage Embassy and EEZY EETERY are in charge of the food and visitors will have an opportunity to try a wide range of delicious bites including Gourmet Beef Burgers, Bacon Dog, and Creamy spinach and garlic tomato wrap. Besides great food and beers, a live music performance from The Swing Cats is there to keep you entertained. The good news is that the entrance to the event is free of charge.

3/ Youth Day Miles for Smiles Beach Walk/Run (June 16)
Whether you wish to run or walk on Youth Day, you’ll be supporting the Miles For Smiles Cipla Foundation initiative. This foundation gathers money to cover the costs of corrective surgeries for disadvantaged kids and just by participating in the race, you will be making a contribution for this noble cause.

4/ Franschhoek Winter Wines (June 16)
Franschhoek Winter Wines festival will be taking place this Saturday at the Franschhoek Motor Museum. The intimate décor of the museum provides a perfect setting for wine tasting and you will have a chance to try some of the finest seasonal red wines from the Franschhoek Vignerons. Wineries like Topiary, Black Elephant Vintners, Holden Manz, La Bri, Rickety Bridge, Haute Cabrière and Anthonij Rupert Wyne will be participating at the event. In case you get hungry, chefs from the popular Terra del Capo are in charge of preparing tasty comfort food including specialties such as Wild Mushroom Arancini served with Truffle Aioli and Salsiccia Sausages with braised Cannellini Beans.

5/ Keep It Thick – Warehouse Festival in Paarden Eiland (June 16)

Keep it Thick is hosting this deep house-dropping event in celebration of Youth Day and some of the best DJ’s are scheduled to perform from early afternoon to early morning. Let’s hit Cape Town’s live music scene this Father’s Day weekend at Bay Harbour Market. From Friday to Sunday, there will be renowned artists playing LIVE on the KWV Sound Stage. The Bay Harbour Market does things right, it is open for amazing shopping on Friday, from 5 to 9pm, and on Saturday and Sunday, from 9.30am to 4pm.
