1 Vortex Phoenix Festival on Fire (June 21-23)
Presented by Vortex Trance Adventures, the 3-day Phoenix Festival of Fire Outdoor Music Festival is one of the most anticipated music events to attend in Cape Town this weekend. Taking place at the lovely Nekkies Resort close to the Breede River, the festival offers a stellar line-up of both local and International DJ’s. Besides music, you can participate in varied workshops, check out the trade stalls, and grab a snack from the local food vendors.

2 Cape Town’s 4th International Day of Yoga (June 22)
Organized by Joëlle Sleebos and the Dharma Project, Cape Town’s 4th International Day of Yoga is taking place at Cape Town’s Gardens this Saturday and the main aim is to raise funds for the Earthchild Project. There will be 2 yoga sessions available, one in the morning and the other one in the afternoon. Bot sessions feature a yoga market, yoga workshops, and of course a yoga class. Bookings for this event are essential.

3 Cloud 9 @ Lagoon Wine Estate (June 22)
There are many cool events to attend in Cape Town, but you can also drive to the nearby village of Hermanus and see the performance by the popular band Cloud 9 at the amazing Lagoon Wine Estate. Cloud 9 is one of the best cover bands in the region and delivers a powerful performance. Besides great music, guests can enjoy delicious wine, admire the beautiful scenery, and try some local foods. The band will perform inside the tasting room of the Lagoon Wine Estate. Tickets cost R200 per person.

4 Memories We’ve Found @ Artscape(June 22)
Coming straight from the Cape Town township of Philippi, a cast of 45 performers is scheduled to entertain visitors through dance, poetry, and stories as a part of the Memories We’ve Found show at the Artscape Theater this Saturday. The ensemble speaks to the dreams and hopes of South African children and delivers a passionate approach to storytelling. The tickets for the event cost R50 per adult.

5 Jack&June @ Rootspring House (June 22)
Head out to Muizenberg’s Rootspring House this Saturday to watch the performance by the husband and wife duo, Jack&June – Jacqueline Tolken and Peter Hoven. Jacqueline has a lovely voice and she has been performing for 3 years now, while her husband Peter plays guitar and gives the band a strong foundation.
