All Aboard the Cape Town City Sightseeing Bus

Whether you have lived in the city your whole life or only in town for a short time, the Cape Town City Sightseeing Bus is a must-try for everyone who wants a better idea of what the Mother City has to offer.

You will almost certainly have seen one or more of these brightly coloured buses all over the city, but being on board is far more fun than you could imagine. The bus departs from its ticket office at the Two Oceans Aquarium, and offers different routes that take you around to some of the most iconic attractions and landmarks of Cape Town. Tickets can be purchased at online or offline from the Aquarium ticket office, Long Street ticket office, or on the bus (credit and debit cards accepted). Costs are as follows:

– 2 Day Ticket

Red City plus Blue Mini Peninsula Tours, Free Yellow and Purple Tour, Canal Cruise plus Walking Tour

› Adults: R230 online / R270 offline
› Kids: 5 – 15 R170 / under 5 Free (max 2 kids/adult)

– 1 Day Ticket 

› Adults: R130 online /R170 offline
› Kids: 5 – 15 R80 / under 5 Free (max 2 kids/adult)

Cape Town City Sightseeing Tours

There are two primary routes for City Sightseeing Tours in Cape Town – the Red City Tour and the Blue Mini Peninsula Tour. Depending on the places you wish to see and the route you wish to explore, both offer their own unique highlights. Better still, the are FREE extensions offered in each tour that give you even more things to see along the way.

Both Red and Blue Tours depart from the Two Oceans Aquarium in Dock Road, Waterfront, and return to this ticket office at the end of the tour. You can hop on and hop off at any of the stops along the way however, and tickets are valid for the entire day so you can get off to explore a bit and hop on later if you feel like doing so.
