1 Tamia Live @ Green Point Stadium (February 23)

Come to the Green Point Stadium this weekend to watch a live performance by Tamia, a musician, actress, and producer from Canada. She is one of the most recognizable voices in R&B and this February Tamia is promoting her new album Passion Like Fire in Cape Town. South Africa’s house music singer and songwriter Lady Zamar is also included in the line-up. Tickets for this concert range from R495 to R895.

2 The Cape Town Prawn Festival (February 23)

Hosted by Kenilworth Racecourse, The Cape Town Prawn Festival is one of the most anticipated events in the Mother City this weekend. Big-prize horse races including the Vasco Prix du Cap and the Khaya Stables Diadem Stakes are also included in the program. Hospitality options will be available, as well as a nice playground for children. The entrance to the festival is free of charge.

3 Constantia Fresh 2019 (February 24)

Hoping to get away from the busy streets of Cape Town’s city center and attend a unique celebration of food and wine at the oldest wine region in South Africa? Go to the Buitenverwachting Wine Farm in Constantia this Sunday to attend the 10th version of the annual Constantia Fresh. Besides a nice selection of both local and International wines, guests will also have an opportunity to enjoy tasty food, coffee, and craft beers. To keep the guests entertained, live music is provided. One ticket costs R600 and includes a complimentary wine glass, wine, food, and music.

4 The Original Gin & Tonic Festival (February 24)

The 8th edition of the popular Original Gin & Tonic Festival is taking place at the Old Biscuit Mill in The Mother City this weekend. Expect to find a variety of brands showcasing their finest cocktails, spirits, and purveyor. In case you get hungry, street food vendors will be selling tasty food. A diverse line-up of musical acts is also included in the program. Tickets range from R130 to R160.

5 The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra (February 24)

The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra is one of the most popular orchestras in Africa and they are performing at the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens this Sunday as part of the Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts. The program consists of Mozart’s Symphony No 34 in C major (Linz), Korngold’s Violin Concerto, Beethoven’s Symphony No 5. A ticket for this event will set you back between R150 and R190.
