1 Franschhoek Summer Wines (February 2)
If you wish to try seasonally inspired wines presented by Franschhoek Vignerons, head out to Leopard’s Leap Family Vineyards in Franschhoek this Saturday to attend the fabulous Franschhoek Summer Wines event. The wine list for this event is extensive and includes light red wines, rose, Méthode Cap Classique, and white wine. There is a nice enclosed patio at the estate where you can sip on your favorite wines. As for the food, Chef Pieter de Jager and his team are in charge of preparing delicious local specialties to match your wine. Tickets for this event cost between R230 and R280 and include a complimentary wine glass and wine tasting. The dress code for this event is white.

2 February Summer Concerts at the V&A Waterfront (February 2)
There is an abundance of interesting events in Cape Town in January and live music performances at the V&A Waterfront’s Amphitheatre definitely fall into this category. This Saturday, the popular Italian singer/songwriter, Zingara is scheduled to perform at the V&A Waterfront’s Amphitheatre at 7 pm this Saturday. Her mixture of soul and future-jazz music which was influenced by her time spent in Bali will make your hips start shaking. This event is presented by Mercedes-Benz.

3 The Soil Live at Kirstenbosch Summer Concerts (February 3)
Famous for mixing musical genres like Afro-soul, jazz, and hip hop, The Soil is an award-winning Soul and Jazz A Capella band from South Africa. On Sunday afternoon, this rocking band will be performing at the lovely Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden. The band’s self-titled album went platinum with over 50,000 copies sold. For the ultimate experience at the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, bring along blankets and a picnic and enjoy the performance of the famous Soil. 4 The Misanthrope (February 3)
The Misanthrope at the Fugard Theatre is probably one of the most interesting events in Cape Town this Sunday. Presented by Comédie-Française, the Misanthrope play tells us the story of Alcest who falls in love with Célimène, a girl from the Parisian high society. We won’t reveal any more details about what happens next in the play, but let’s say that Misanthrope is definitely worth watching and the tickets cost only R100 per person.
