2 Sima Mashazi’s My Miriam Makeba Story (September 13-15)
Spend a truly amazing weekend in Cape Town and head out to the Artscape Theatre Centre to see the My Miriam Makeba Story and South Africa’s rising star Sima Mashazi in her lead role. In the show, Sima will include dozens of her own songs that relate to the story of Makeba. You will also have an opportunity to hear a unique Indonesian lullaby, as well as hits such as Phatha Phatha.

3 World Clean Up Day at Bay Harbour Market (September 15)
The Bay Harbour Market will celebrate the annual World Cleanup Day, an event that brings people who care about the environment together to make our planet a better place to live. If you want to clean up the Fish on the Rocks area and the Hout Bay harbour, join dozens of organizations and volunteers who will recycle plastic that will be later used for creating eco-bricks.

4 Under the Mountain Music Festival (September 16)
For an unforgettable weekend in Cape Town, visit the amazing Under the Mountain Music Festival that will take place this Sunday at the St. Cyprian’s School. This family-friendly event will feature plenty of entertainment options including food tracks, dozens of cash bars, and of course live music performances. 5 Axe & Axenmore Rock Band at Hillcrest Quarry (September 16)
There is an excellent matinee concert this Sunday at the Hillcrest Quarry in Durbanville. Axe & Axenmore Rock Band will perform their Acoustic Meets Pop meets Rock show and the entrance to the concert will set you back R80. The frontman of the band Axe did an amazing tour of South Africa with his “Queen Tribute Band” and now he is back to perform with Axenmore.
