One of the oldest towns in the region, Riebeek-Kasteel is a much-loved weekend getaway destination for the residents of Cape Town. It seems that we can’t get enough of Stellenbosch, as our last place on the list is located in this lovely university town with oak-shaded streets. If you are interested in wines, Marianne Wine Estate offers a guided wine tour which includes a visit to the cellar, a bottle of their best wine, and 3 different varietals. After the wine tour, you can have dinner at the Olivello Restaurant and spend the night here. They have several spacious lofts that are surrounded by vineyards, as well as a manor house that offers amazing views of Table Mountain.
