October in Cape Town is a fine time indeed, and this month we have a huuuge list of events to enjoy, from penguins all the way to Pinotage.
Now that spring is officially here, the days are getting longer and the nights are getting cooler. Jeans and boots are being swapped for shorts and t-shirts, as we try our hardest to catch a bit of a pre-summer tan. This past week we have been getting a taste of October weather to come with some lovely hot days – if that isn’t reason to let the spring awesomeness take over, then I don’t know what is.
Anyway, I am 99.9999% certain that you will find plenty to do this month after getting a look at the events lined up, so let’s get started…
What’s Happening in Cape Town in October?
If you are anything like me, spring is one of the best times to get outdoors and soak up the warmth. After a cold winter, and before a hot summer, this ‘in-between’ time has something special. Birds are singing happily, everything is fresh and green and even moods are given a good lift.
From here on out, I for one am going to throw myself fully into the joys of the season with some wine festivals, comedy, musicals and even speciality festivals… for the whole entire month. Because, SPRING!
