I don’t know what about you, but I’m pretty keen for the month ahead – not least because of all the awesome August events taking place in Cape Town!
Before I get into the details on what’s going down in the Mother City in the month ahead, I have to make a bit of a confession. If you are anything like me (read: regressive music lover stuck in the 90s), you may already know that Mike and the Mechanics are in town this August. This excites me way more than it should, and has brought on a major musical trip down memory lane.
In fact, as I write this, I may or may not be singing along to “say it loud, say it clear…”
I know – I really am a hopeless case.
Even if you don’t share my particular tastes in music, you can still enjoy many, many other cool events. There will be food, and wine, and whales, and flowers, and ballet, and music, and sports, and comedy and just about anything else you’re into as well.

All details were correct at the time of writing this. Also, I searched long and hard to find any and all things going on in August. If you know of anything happening that I’ve missed, please give it a mention in the comments below.
You can also tell me which August events in Cape Town you’re most excited about (gold stars for all who agree that Mike and the Mechanics will rock the party). 😉
