Taking place in Durbanville’s Hillcrest Quarry, Ramfest 2020 Music Festival invites all rock, metal, and alternative fans to enjoy a variety of both local and international performances. This annual music festival features a stellar line-up with names such as Van Coke Kartel, The Black Dahlia Murder, Metallica Tribute, Stoker, Facing the Gallows, Marene and The Valley, and others. The event starts at 6 pm this Friday and tickets can be purchased for R300.

2 Durbanville Plaasfees 2020 (March 14)
Make your way to the Meerendal Wine Estate this weekend where the Durbanville Plaasfees 2020 promises to be a memorable event with plenty of food stalls, entertainment, and activities. From a bunch of stalls and crafts to kid’s entertainment including Jolly Lollos & Lettie children show and performance by Regardt Laubscher the magician, there is plenty to look forward to at the Durbanville Plaasfees. Popular artists like Tasche Burger and Cobus & Christo are also added to the bill.

3 Seaside Village Kids Carnival (March 14)
Looking for more central events to attend in Cape Town this weekend? With plenty of interactive attractions and entertainment, the Seaside Village Kids Carnival is an ideal event for the entire family. Held at the Seaside Village Shopping Centre, the carnival features lots of activities for the little ones ranging from magic shows to balloon modeling and face painting. There is also a cool jumping castle, as well as sand art and coloring. The entrance to the event is free of charge.

4 Cape Epic Prologue (March 15)
A time-trial prologue called The Race That Measures All is being held at the University of Cape Town this Sunday and everyone is invited to join the fun. Visitors will have a chance to see riders making their way down the start ramp and across Land Rover Technical Terrain, Plum Pudding. The best place to watch the riders and admire Cape Town’s beautiful scenery is from the Dead Man’s Tree.

5 Paws on the Promenade (March 15)
One of the most fun events to attend in Cape Town this weekend, Paws on the Promenade celebrates its fifth birthday this year. This annual event showcases participants walking their cute dogs along the Sea Point promenade to raise some much-needed cash for the Mdzananda Animal Clinic based in Khayelitsha. Two celebrities will be cutting the starting ribbon and participating in the walk. These include the celebrity dog Cali who was like 20,000 followers on Instagram and the local musician Biggy. The starting point is at the Mouille Point lighthouse where coffee, prizes, and snacks await participants who are encouraged to dress in orange.
