1 Love & Lust Featuring Lu Chase (February 28)

Hosted by 44 on Long, Love & Lust party is one of the most unique events happening in Cape Town this weekend. Originally from Cape Town, Lu Chase is the star of cabaret/burlesque show which features rocking music ranging from funk to disco beats. Lu has a successful career. She has performed at the Salon Heavent and opened in St. Tropes for Gloria Gaynor. Burlesque acts Sophia von Syren and Vita Nova will be joining Lu Chase at the Love & Lust show.

2 Grand Street Party: SA Cocktail Week (February 29)

A visit to the third annual SA Cocktail Week Cnr Waterkant & Loop Street is one of the most fun things to do in Cape Town over the weekend. For those who don’t know, this is the largest cocktail festival in the country and features some of the best brands in the world. From bar-hopping tours to the awards ceremony and a variety of masterclasses, there is plenty to look forward to at the SA Cocktail Week. The line-up includes names like Yanga Sobetwa, Paradise Citizens, Strange Loving, and Jarrad Ricketts. Tickets are available from R125.

3 Lighthouse Festival 2020 (February 29 – March 1)

An annual underground music festival, the Lighthouse Festival is a must-visit event for everyone who likes electro music. Held at the Soetwater Resort, the festival features a stellar line-up with DJ’s like DJ buhle, fka mash, hvob live (clubset), lichterloh, messive muzik, and many others. The afterparty at the Modular is also not to be missed.

4. SA Cocktail Festival Grand White Party (February 29)

This spectacular event with a Mad Hatter dress theme features everything from prizes for the maddest hats to Carrol Boyes chocolates and African craft sculptures by Monkeybiz.
