If you wish to have a unique dinner and movie experience with friends or with that special someone, I recommend dropping by the Cape Town’s Pepperclub Hotel. Their dinner and movie are held during the winter season on Thursdays and Sunday evenings. The procedure is quite simple. After enjoying a delicious dinner at the hotel’s on-site restaurants, you are taken to the lovely 60’s style movie theater to watch a popular new release or one of those old-school classic movies. This incredible cinema has a retro vibe and can accommodate up to 29 guests. This is one of our favorite lesser-known Cape Town activities.

Not many tourists know this, but South Africa’s Mother City boasts a labyrinth of tunnels under the city. Dating back to the 17th century, these tunnels used to supply fresh water to the passing ships and Company’s Garden. They were also used to transport sewerage for some time. Nowadays, a guided tour of the underground canals is available for visitors and lasts for about 2 hours.
