Jungala 2017 takes place at Ruigtevlei Farm in Gouda. This major trance party event showcases 8 international DJs and over 30 local South African acts. Proceeds from the event will go towards Cape Town NGO Soil for Life as well as Thula Thula Room. Color Run South Africa kicks off in Cape Town on Saturday 18 November 2017. Starting at Cape Town Stadium in Green Point, this run is all about colour, fun and good vibes. The route spans five kilometres across the city, with participants wearing white clothing. At every kilometre, a new colour of powder covers runners as they pass, creating an amazing spectrum of colour by the time the race comes to an end. At the finish line, festival begins, and the air is filled with a huge diversity of vivid colour combinations as those watching the race also get in on the colourful fun. The Full Monty takes place at GrandWest from 10 to 25 November 2017. Based on the hit musical by playwright and screenwriter, Terence McNally, the show about six out of work and out of shape men who have families to support and bills to pay is funny and touching. Barleycorn Music Festival is an annual favourite, taking place at the German Club in Gardens. This event is organised by music lovers, bringing together laid-back vibe, a great selection of artists and a love for good music. This year’s artists include Crimson House, The Stremes, Stone Jets, Andre de Villiers, The Jimm Harisson Project, The Stone Jets, Wayne Pauli, Chris Werge, Grace de la Hunt, Sarah McArthur and Sara Burg. The 41 Restaurant in Camps Bay is celebrating its first birthday with an intimate concert. Featuring local music duo, Locnville, this private concert requires bookings in advance. The twins will be performing a number of their hits, including Cold Shoulder, Grapevine, Wasted, I Can’t Sleep and many others. This interactive exhibition features 14 animatronic Transformers, 9 sculptures between two and nine metres and and further 20 statues of various sizes. At the event, a range of top South African dealers, as part of the of the National Antiques & Decorative Arts Association (NAADA), celebrate antiques and interiors. Highlights include a variety of antiques, collectables, decorative arts, vintage clothing and jewellery.
