Green Point Stadium lights were turned on this week, and this photograph shows the magnificence of the design, and the seamless integration of the stadium with its surroundings.
You can see the V&A Waterfront in the foreground, which is another Cape Town icon, that has certainly put Cape Town on the map as a 1st Class international city.
Excitement around the World Cup 2010 South Africa is starting to reach feverpitch, and as hosts to 8 games, including a quarter, and a semi final, Cape Town is certainly excited.
By the image below, you can see that Green Point is going to be a magnificent stadium, and will certainly be ready in time for the FIFA World Cup come June 2010.
